Here's how to setup the DSR2020:
You will need to find a Power cable for the DSR2020, it takes
a regular BS1363 (UK plug) to IEC320 C13 (regular kettle socket)
You should have
- A DSR2020
- 10 DSRIQ-PS2 s
- 3 USB-PS2 adaptors
- 3 DVI-D VGA adaptors
- 2 2m purple network cables
- 1 10m purple network cable - you can leave him mostly coiled up
- 1 2m blue network cable
Steps:
- Disconnect the vga and keyboard cables from atlas
- Connect the network cables to the DSR2020 as follows
Connect the blue cable to the network socket (most left socket)
(I've used a yellow cable in this picture, the DSR2020 is the top box)
connect the 3 purple cables to the ports marked 1,2 and 3 on the
right hand side (I've used blue cables in this picture)
- Connect a DSRIQ-PS2 to the other ends of the purple cables.
- Connect a USB-PS2 adaptor to each of the DSRIQ-PS2s, the purple connector on the DSRIQ-PS2 fits into the socket marked with a picture of a keyboard,
and the green one into the socket marked with a mouse
- Connect one of the DSRIQ-PS2 on a 2m purple cable with its USB-PS2 adaptor to atlas, use any usb port on atlas
- Connect the other DSRIQ-PS2 on a 2m purple cable to phoebe (the little computer on a silver stand), you will probably need one of the DVI-D to VGA adaptors to connect the blue connector on the DSRIQ-PS2 to it, unless there is one there already, and plug the usb into any available socket
- Connect a DVI-D to VGA adaptor to the remaining DSRIQ-PS2
- Connect the blue network cable from DSR2020 to a spare port on either
switch
- Connect power to the DSR2020 - It's loud but once it's set up you can turn it off
